We pride ourselves on helping the faculty and staff at Woodland Elementary create a fun, safe, and engaging academic environment. We are also dedicated to helping to improve our community.
These are the programs that we have implemented at Woodland Elementary School.
The Buddy Bench encourages students to make new friends, include others, and play together. When a student needs someone to play with, they use this bench to make a new friend. Together we are putting an end to inclusion and loneliness.
Teacher Grant Program: This provides the teachers with additional funds to support the curriculum in their classrooms. Teachers are able to purchase items to help enrich your child’s classroom experience.
Walking Club: Encourages our students to get up and move. Students walk during recess to earn miles towards cool prizes. Volunteers will help keep track of laps completed by students, distribute and order prizes, and encourage students to keep walking.
ECO Discovery: Provides students with the opportunity to learn about our local ecosystem through this hands-on exploratory science program. Chair is needed to schedule and ensure proper invoicing.
New Kids on the Block: Provides a warm welcome to incoming and transfer students allowing them a chance to get to know everything Woodland Elementary has to offer.
Field Trip Discretionary Fund: This helps to fund field trip costs including transportation, tickets, and fees to provide students with hands-on learning experiences.
High School Scholarship: This opportunity is courtesy of the WPC. Each year, Perrysburg High School Students and Woodland Elementary Alumni are given the opportunity to receive a scholarship for college. Students submit an application with an essay.
